More Than a Builder · The Landmark Family

People You Can Count On.

A home is a big investment. So is the trust you place in the team bringing it to life.

Landmark Homes is rooted in Medina and built around a simple idea: relationships matter. From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, we want clients to know who's involved, understand the decisions ahead, and feel comfortable asking questions along the way.

Our team brings together architectural design, construction experience, project coordination, interior selections, and customer care. Different specialties, shared standards, and one goal: a home that feels right for the people who live in it.

Meet the people behind the plans

Leadership With Deep Local Roots.

Experience matters, but so does being accessible, listening closely, and caring about the result long after the plans are approved.

Tim Pelton

With more than 30 years of field experience and architectural education from the University of Cincinnati, Tim brings a practical, thoughtful perspective to custom home design. His family ties to Medina span five generations, and his involvement in local youth soccer reflects that commitment to community.

For homeowners, Tim helps connect the big picture—architecture, daily function, and design details—with the realities of building.

Rob Root

Born and raised in Medina, Rob has been active in the local building community since 1996. His roots here go back generations, including to his great-great-grandfather, A.I. Root, whose entrepreneurial legacy helped shape Medina.

Rob's focus is on the long view: a business built on personal relationships, trusted people, and a commitment to doing right by homeowners.

Behind every home is a team of people with different strengths—and a shared sense of responsibility.

The team extends beyond the office

Great Homes Take Great People.

Our relationships don't end with the people you meet at Landmark. They extend to the skilled tradespeople, suppliers, and craftspeople whose work comes together in each home.

We've invested in lasting relationships with local trade partners, many extending more than a decade. That familiarity creates shared expectations, communication, and continuity from project to project.

For homeowners, that means working with a builder who knows the people behind the work—and expects the same care and craftsmanship throughout the home.

Proudly rooted in Medina

Local Heritage. A Personal Commitment.

Landmark's story is tied to generations of Medina history. In 2006, Rob Root founded Renovation Homes, Inc., later carrying that commitment to thoughtful construction forward under the Landmark Homes name.

Our history matters because it reminds us of what we're building beyond the house itself: relationships, trust, and a reputation that lasts. We want each new homeowner to feel the same pride in the process that we take in the finished work.
